Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Float Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care across multiple units, including the medical care unit, post-surgical unit, and intermediate care unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability to rapidly changing patient and unit needs while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their significant others on health management and disease prevention.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
  • Respond effectively to patient crises and emergency situations.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
  • Exhibit a friendly and helpful attitude, demonstrating flexibility in accepting assignments across varied areas.

Qualifications

  • Recent hospital experience within the past five years.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Ability to float between the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU as required.

Certification Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)

Licensing Requirements

Must possess or be willing to obtain an active nursing license in Oregon.

COVID vaccination is no longer required for this position.
