Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER), you will play a crucial role in applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality care to patients in critical situations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing nursing care plans based on assessment and diagnosis.
  • Educating patients and their significant others regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Documenting all patient care activities accurately in the medical records.
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Shift Notes

This position requires a commitment to work 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.

Weekend Requirements

The weekend schedule will be determined by the facility.

On Call Requirements

The on-call schedule will be determined by the facility.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
  • Recent acute care hospital experience within the last 2 years.
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS.
  • Oregon state nursing license (active licensure not required at the time of submission, but must be obtained promptly).

Certifications

Candidates must obtain the following certifications:

  • TNCC
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
