Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a Float Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care across various units, including the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit. The successful candidate will work within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, employing the nursing process to deliver care to patients, educate them and their significant others, and document patient care accurately in medical records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to prioritize and respond to rapidly changing patient needs and unit demands.
  • Effectively teach patients and their families about care and treatment plans.
  • Respond effectively to patient crises and emergency situations.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
  • Display a friendly, helpful attitude while accepting assignments in varied areas.

Qualifications

  • Recent hospital experience within the last five years.
  • A minimum of two years of Medical-Surgical experience.
  • Willingness to float between the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU.

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from AHA

State License Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license from the state of Oregon (license does not need to be active at the time of submission but must be obtained prior to starting).

COVID vaccination is no longer required.
