Description

Job Opportunity – Endoscopy Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-hour work week consisting of two 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) and two 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM). Includes 2-3 weekends per contract, 1 weekday call per week, and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule.

Highlights:
  • Specialized endoscopy unit with 11 beds, 3 procedure rooms, and average daily census of 20 patients
  • Advanced procedures including ERCP with Spy Glass, EBUS, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedures
  • 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
  • Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
  • First-time travel nurses accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
  • Maximum 7 days of time off available per contract (blackout dates apply during Spring Break: April 4-12)
Requirements:
  • Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; endoscopy experience strongly preferred
  • ERCP experience required; familiarity with Spy Glass, bronchoscopy, EBUS, colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedures essential
  • Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Patient ratio experience with 1:2 assignments
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Full compliance documentation required; must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date to avoid orientation delays
Call and Holiday Requirements:
  • Call coverage: 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday requirement: Expected to work major holidays that fall during assignment period (specific requirements based on number of holidays in contract period)
  • No floating to other units
