Description

Job Opportunity – Telemetry Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35 patients. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Every other weekend required. Holiday coverage as needed based on assignment dates. Floating within facility/scope of practice may be required.

Highlights:

  • Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and complex medical patients including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT
  • Epic EMR system required; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR
  • Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, device implant, and cardiac surgery patient care
  • Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required) including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
  • Up to 7 days requested time off may be considered (blackout dates apply during Spring Break April 4-12)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
  • Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients
  • Demonstrated competency managing cardiac drips, blood product administration, central line care, telemetry interpretation, and post-cardiac procedure care
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
