Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract | Nights | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, accurate documentation, and ongoing monitoring across a diverse all-ages patient population
- Execute general ED nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
- Deliver patient and family education and apply critical thinking in fast-paced emergency care situations
- Chart and document using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
- Float within the department as needed, including to the pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
- Ability to maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Prior experience with EPIC – ASAP EMR system
