Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years Emergency Nursing experience License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS required; NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: General Emergency Department nursing skills, including but not limited to: - Assessment - Documentation - IV and phlebotomy - EKG and cardiac monitoring - Point of care testing - Splinting - Critical thinking - Patient education Description: The position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse on the night shift. This role requires working every other weekend. The Emergency Department has a total of 65 beds and consists of a pod-based structure with separate areas for pediatric patients and acute mental health. The facility has a daily census of approximately 230 visits. The patient-to-clinician ratio is 1:4. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC ASAP. Floating to other units may be required. Rotating shifts are required for day shifts upon request, but the night position does not rotate. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to provide comprehensive patient education. Emergency nursing experience is a requirement for this role.
