    Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations, including a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area
    • Perform general ED nursing skills including patient assessment, clinical documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
    • Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 230 visits per day
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC ASAP electronic medical records system
    • Deliver patient education and apply critical thinking to support safe, effective emergency care
    • Float to other areas as needed and rotate to day shifts on a low-frequency basis when requested
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
    • Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
    • Proficiency with EPIC ASAP or comparable EMR platform
    • Demonstrated competency in core ED nursing skills including IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and point-of-care testing
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
    • Experience working in a high-volume, pod-based Emergency Department setting
