Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Circulator)
Job Summary
This role is for an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Circulator within an Outpatient Surgery Center in Cumming, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures in an outpatient setting.
This position requires flexibility to float between different operating room suites, including the main OR and other surgical areas, to ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Document all nursing care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare team members.
- Float to other operating room suites (e.g., Main OR) as needed to support patient care and operational demands.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Operating Room Circulator.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Shift Details
- Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day.
- Days: Monday to Friday.
- Hours: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM.
- Call Requirements: Rotating late coverage as needed.
- Weekend Rotation: Not specified.
- Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) if they fall within the assignment period.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.
- Assignment Dates: October 12, 2026 - January 09, 2027.
Licensing Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
