Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse
  • Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient needs.
  • Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
  • Develop and implement a measurable and individualized plan of care.
  • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning.
  • Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
  • Evaluate the plan of care and perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Certifications required.
  • CPI/De-Escalation Certification preferred.
