Job Summary
Electro Physiology Lab (EP LAB) Location unspecified. This role involves performing procedures related to electrophysiology, including ablations, EP studies with programmed stimulation, and device placements such as pacemakers and ICDs. The position requires experienced healthcare professionals to verify orders, assess patients, assist with procedures, and monitor patient hemodynamics in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association); Minimum experience required: 2 years.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, four days per week, with rotating days off. Shifts may be 4-10 hours or 4-9 hours, potentially from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekend or holiday work is required, but there may be a rotation for weeknight and weekend call approximately once every three days or weekends, with a call response time of 30 minutes.
- Position Responsibilities: Verify orders and consent, perform head-to-toe assessments, educate patients, set up rooms, circulate cases, administer moderate sedation, monitor hemodynamics, document procedures, and coordinate with the healthcare team.
- Experience and Skills: Must have at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience, specific IABP experience is required, and familiarity with EMR systems such as Merge or Cerner.
- Additional Information: No floating requirements, provided scrubs are worn, and orientation includes 2-3 days of training and shadowing. No call during the first week; subsequent call duties are with a buddy then independently.
- Note: Clinicians who have previously worked for Marshfield must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
