Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Mid Shift

  • Schedule: Mid Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week (Will consider 36-hour guarantee if candidate cannot do 48s)
    • Mid Shift Start Options: 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, or 15:00
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every Other Weekend (EOW); holiday rotation required.
    • On-Call Protocol: No call / standby required. Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to immediate contract termination.
    • Floating Protocol: First to float (typically serves as a helping hand if pulled).
    • Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs and navy undershirt/jacket.
    • Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Emergency Room (ER) RN experience strictly required [HARDSTOP]. First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Testing Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia exam with a score of 83% or higher prior to contract execution [HARDSTOP]. (Up to 3 attempts permitted).
  • Required Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (Stroke Scale Certification) [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR Proficiency [HARDSTOP]: Must have direct clinical proficiency with Epic EMR strictly required (assignment supports an Epic platform conversion) [HARDSTOP]. Current facility charting utilizes MEDITECH.
  • System Employment Separation Policy [HARDSTOP]: Candidates cannot have been directly employed (Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN float pool) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI and Dignity) within the past 12 months [HARDSTOP]. (Prior PRN employment through outside staffing agencies is accepted).
