Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level III Trauma Centerspecializing in acute care with a focus on trauma, strokes, STEMIs, and pediatric cases. Responsible for providing comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical protocols and ensuring patient safety.
Job Details:
- Location: ER Department, Level III Trauma Center.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications; licensed RN; at least 2 years of ER experience; experience with ER patient care and common drips; ability to troubleshoot vents; familiarity with MEDITECH charting system; and passing the ADVANCED Dysrhythmia test (83%) within three attempts.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric, trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients; ability to handle multisystem trauma; acute care experience in a high-volume ER setting.
- Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with patient ratios of 1:3-4 depending on acuity. May be asked to precept and assist with varying clinical responsibilities, including troubleshooting ventilators and interpreting telemetry strips. Float: Float rotation may be required.
