Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the Healthcare Facility. This position involves providing urgent care to patients with various medical conditions, including general emergency department complaints, abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, behavioral health patients, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric cases. The role requires adapting to flexible shifts and working within a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Clinical interviewing as requested by management, with a start date of October 19, 2026. The schedule involves variable day/mid shifts with the potential to transition into mid/evening shifts, including specific shift times such as 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, 9:00 am to 9:30 pm, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm, 12:00 pm to 12:00 am, 3:00 pm to 3:30 am, and 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB certifications; General Emergency Department (ED) skills; Licensure in relevant state; minimum 2 years of ED experience; specialization in ER.
- Preferred Qualifications: CAP certification; experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system; proficiency with Alaris IV Pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing; strong soft skills including organization, communication, and teamwork.
- Responsibilities: Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population, perform lab draws, operate medical equipment, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Follow hospital and unit orientation protocols, with phased independence over 2-3 shifts and ongoing support.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours per week, with a rotating schedule including weekends every other week and no on-call duties.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes 1-2 shifts on the unit followed by 2-3 shifts independently. The unit culture is collaborative, with free parking available.
