• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,060
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Census: Average daily census of 120
• Charting System: Cerner preferred
• Weekend Requirement: As needed; every other weekend coverage is typical

Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Experience in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC required
• ENPC and NRP preferred where applicable
• Strong skills in triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• Comfortable with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and float as needed within scope
• Reliable, adaptable, and ready to contribute to a collaborative healthcare team

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Assess, stabilize, and manage patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform triage, initiate treatment plans, and prioritize care appropriately
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to clinical changes
• Support care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, respiratory distress, and behavioral health presentations
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and procedural sedation support as needed
• Assist with advanced emergency interventions including airway and ventilatory support
• Document thoroughly in the charting system and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with support services to deliver efficient, patient-centered emergency care
• Maintain a calm, compassionate presence in a fast-moving, high-acuity environment
