  • Position Description: The role involves working in an emergency department designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, treating approximately 100 patients per day. The unit features a mixed ER with no separate psych/seclusion rooms, and supports a variety of diagnoses including trauma, stroke, and acute medical conditions.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Education requirements include relevant nursing licensure, with a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience. Location must be within 60 miles of the designated zone.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Clinicians are expected to float within the zone, which covers a 60-mile radius, and adapt to various responsibilities including triage support and point-of-care lab testing. The shift schedule is based on unit needs, with leadership establishing the final schedule.
