  • Additional Information:
    • Unit handles an average of 45+ patients daily
    • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
    • Experience with NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) required
    • Skills needed include managing cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic drips, sedation, and analgesia
    • RN must troubleshoot vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow oxygen equipment, Read tele monitor strips, and draw labs
    • Self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted; full and part-time staff expected to cover a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
    • Holidays and flexible floating within Zone 1 may be required
    • Equipment includes monitor techs, X-ray, CT; no in-house security 24/7, but housed within ER
