Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required.
Highlights:
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 in a 30-bed Cardiovascular ICU with complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients
- Advanced critical care experience with CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 36-hour orientation period to ensure successful transition to the unit
- Opportunity to work with specialized equipment including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, and Impella devices
Requirements:
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Essential skills: IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
