Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN with hands-on therapeutic cooling experience to care for high-acuity, critically ill neonates on a 13-week assignment.

• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting
• Shift schedule: 06:45-19:15
• 13-week assignment length
• Cares for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support
• Utilizes ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen equipment
• Manages central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact required)
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• STABLE certification may be required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3-4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience preferred
• Hands-on therapeutic hypothermia/cooling experience required
• Comfortable independently managing complex, super high-acuity NICU patients
• Experience administering and titrating IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates including those requiring therapeutic cooling
• Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and participate in resuscitation and stabilization efforts
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team
• Provide education and emotional support to parents and families during hospitalization
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
• Must reside within the US and provide a US address for consideration
