Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring therapeutic cooling experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting
• Cares for super high-acuity, critically ill, premature, and medically complex neonates
• Manages infants requiring advanced respiratory support (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen) and therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
• Manages central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
• Administers and titrates IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
• 13-week assignment with a night shift schedule (18:30-07:00)

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA/AAP) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required; 3-4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience preferred
• Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
• Must be able to independently manage complex, high-acuity NICU patients with minimal supervision
• STABLE certification may be required based on facility policy
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Participates in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization and responds quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergencies
• Collaborates with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team
• Provides education and emotional support to families throughout the infant's hospitalization
• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
