• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Weekend Rotation: Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with additional weekends available if desired
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Location: Madison, WI 53718
• Setting: Modern acute care hospital / inpatient med-surg telemetry unit

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Willingness to float as needed
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver safe, effective bedside care including IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
• Support patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry diagnoses
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed based on hospital operational needs
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care environment
