• Weekend Coverage: Two weekends per six-week schedule period
• Additional Notes: Travelers must float as needed and complete telemetry testing prior to start

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Epic experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry assessment before the assignment begins
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Willingness to float to other units as needed based on hospital needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient progress and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Support patients with common Med/Surg and telemetry needs, including respiratory support, wound care, and post-procedure care
• Remain flexible and ready to float based on unit priorities and staffing needs
• Maintain professional standards while delivering exceptional bedside nursing in a fast-paced acute care environment
