Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of recent acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Evening/night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), 3x per week
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Floating required as needed
• Patient care may include telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory management

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher passing score
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for a med/surg tele population including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological/psychiatric patients
• Free onsite parking available
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have 3 years of recent inpatient med/surg experience
• References are not required for consideration
