Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU/MICU experience and a compact or Ohio RN license in hand.

Details

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting caring for adult patients
2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Every other weekend required
Floating to other units within the OSU organization may be required based on need
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active RN license (compact or Ohio) required in hand at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of ICU/MICU experience required
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Epic EMR experience required

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted

Additional Information

Provide comprehensive critical care to adult MICU patients requiring advanced hemodynamic and respiratory support
Navy blue scrubs required
Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Former employees eligible for a travel assignment once away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for a travel assignment
RTO must be submitted with the initial application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
