• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: May float to other medical units as needed
• Orientation: General hospital orientation, nursing orientation, and Epic training
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience in Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting with 450+ beds
• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification through the AHA
• Strong Med/Surg clinical skills and confidence working with a diverse patient population
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and a weekend rotation as scheduled
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout the shift
• Administer and manage IV therapy, heparin drips, insulin drips, and other ordered treatments
• Support patients with wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, and related equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic and follow unit-based workflows and protocols
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication while floating to other medical units as needed
