Job Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting with 450+ beds
• Strong Med/Surg clinical background and acute care nursing skills
• Comfortable working night shifts and supporting a high-acuity patient population
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform thorough assessments, care planning, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Manage IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, feeding tubes, wound vacs, chest tubes, and related equipment
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, Accucheck, IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, and other unit equipment
• Support patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including respiratory, cardiac, GI, infectious, neurological, and behavioral health conditions
• Assist with post-procedure and post-surgical care for patients undergoing common medical and surgical interventions
• Float to other medical units as needed to support staffing and patient care needs
