- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Orientation: Jump Start orientation with general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, and Epic training
- Floating: May float to other medical units as needed
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification through AHA
- At least 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting of 450+ beds
- Strong Epic charting experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekend coverage, including 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with varied patient acuity
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients with varied diagnoses
- Complete thorough assessments, care planning, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
- Administer and manage therapies including IVs, heparin drips, insulin drips, and IV fluid support
- Use clinical equipment such as IV pumps, feeding pumps, wound vacs, telemetry, and blood glucose testing devices
- Care for patients recovering from procedures and minor surgeries, as well as those with chronic or acute medical conditions
- Document accurately in Epic and support safe medication administration with Pyxis systems
- Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and float to medical units where support is most needed
