• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Floating: May float to other medical units as needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Structured onboarding with hospital orientation, nursing orientation, and Epic training
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020–$2,130

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA required
• At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg experience in a large hospital setting (450+ beds)
• Confidence working in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly and float to related medical units when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
• Complete assessments, develop care plans, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for patients with chronic conditions, including COPD, diabetes, CHF, renal disease, and more
• Support patients with GI, infectious disease, neurological, and behavioral health needs
• Manage common procedures and post-procedure care, including minor surgeries and interventions
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Use clinical equipment such as telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, blood glucose testing devices, and SCDs
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support safe, timely care delivery
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
