Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center requiring 3 years of ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Medical ICU with 30 beds in a Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Fast-paced unit utilizing ventilators and central lines
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Block scheduling is generally not approved for this unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
