Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma medical ICU requiring at least 3 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Medical ICU with 30 beds
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Fast-paced, high-acuity unit
• Utilizes ventilators and central lines (dips)
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity trauma center required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced trauma cases
• Prior experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
