Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with 2+ years of recent acute care experience for a 12-hour night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit caring for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
  • 12-hour night shift schedule, working every other weekend
  • 36 hours per week
  • Floating required between all Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
  • No tele techs on this unit; RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing) required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medication competency tests (85% passing score, single attempt, no remediation) prior to acceptance
  • Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only accepted

Additional Information

  • Responsible for reading and interpreting own telemetry strips due to no dedicated tele tech support
  • Must prepare for and pass pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests within 48 hours of confirmation, administered via Zoom
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions accepted
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted for this position
  • Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees must have a 6-month break in service before returning to any BILH facility
  • RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
