Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with 2+ years of recent acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

  • Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit (3 North) of a hospital setting
  • Care for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
  • 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required between all Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
  • Unit does not have tele techs; RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests (85% passing score, one attempt only, no remediation) prior to acceptance
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Additional Information

  • Interpret and read own telemetry strips independently as there are no dedicated tele techs on this unit
  • Must complete pass/fail dysrhythmia and medication testing via Zoom within 48 hours of confirmation
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions accepted
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
  • Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
