Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

  • Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit caring for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
  • 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required
  • Floating required between all Med/Surg Tele units as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Unit does not have tele techs, so RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medications test during onboarding, with only one attempt allowed
  • Flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions only

  • Read and interpret own telemetry strips independently due to absence of tele techs on the unit
  • Testing for ECG/Telemetry and Medications is administered via Zoom within 48 hours of confirmation, requiring an 85% passing score with no remediation or re-sit opportunity
  • Candidates should review the provided study guide to prepare for required testing
  • COVID vaccine plus booster required, with medical exemptions accepted
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, and local candidates are not accepted
  • Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a 6-month break before returning
