Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Day ratios of 1:5-1:7, with LPN support at 1:7
• Night ratios of 1:6-1:8, with LPN support at 1:8
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line management preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and oxygen administration preferred
• Experience with GI and GU/renal patient care preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE use required
• 1 supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive Med/Surg Tele nursing care including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and IV therapy
• Utilize rapid response/code teams when necessary
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine registration within 48 hours of signing contract
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
• Any previous permanent or per diem employment at Penn Highlands Healthcare must be disclosed, with an 18-month break required before returning as a traveler
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
