• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Occasionally
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Unit Setting: Adult medical/surgical telemetry with post-surgical patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Telemetry competency and ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to start and maintain IVs
• Experience with post-surgical patients strongly preferred
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be open to occasional floating within or near the facility
• Must successfully complete pre-start testing and compliance requirements
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and post-surgical patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
• Perform IV therapy, line care, wound care, and other common Med/Surg nursing interventions
• Support patients recovering from colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedic/spine, vascular, and GI procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other members of the healthcare team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
• Participate in self-scheduling while meeting unit needs and staffing expectations
• Promote a positive, teamwork-driven patient care environment
• Adapt to changing patient needs and maintain a calm, professional presence on nights
