Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Details

• Target Ratios: 1:5, occasional 1:6 with CNA support (1:12)
• Hours Offered: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer, with an end date through 2/27
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Float Requirement: Yes (across sister units)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Diagnoses

The unit provides care for a variety of patient diagnoses, requiring strong skills in telemetry and dysrhythmia treatment. The telemetry monitoring will be handled by a technician on another unit, so nurses must be adept in managing clinical treatment appropriately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
• Traveler Experience: No first-time travelers accepted
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Skills Required: Telemetry
• Certifications: BCLS

Unit Systems

The unit utilizes the following systems:

• Pyxis
• Epic
• SBAR for communication

Orientation

Orientation includes 36 hours and is to be completed in the first week. Travelers must be available for daily classes during this time. Please note that passing EKG testing is required prior to starting in this specialty.

Uniform Requirements

Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.
