Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele Stepdown unit requiring stepdown or ICU experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit in a hospital setting
• High acuity stepdown patient population requiring tracheostomy care experience
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Stepdown (high acuity) experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and communicate changes in physician orders
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborate with patients and families on care plans and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning travelers limited to one extension up to a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6 month separation before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines with no start date flexibility
• 30 day written notice required for early cancellation or ending of assignment
