Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a large hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
• 18-week assignment providing winter coverage, with 13-week terms also considered
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license, Ohio or compact, in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit, with potential floating to related units and the ED
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with a passing score required (maximum of 2 attempts)
• PBDS assessment is waived for this position
• Background check findings are reviewed case-by-case, but open cases and any license hits are not accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem employees cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be discussed during the interview process
