Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 1 year of specialty experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license for a hospital assignment with rotating day/night shifts.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00pm-7:30am or 7:00am-7:30pm
• Shifts may vary based on hospital operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required
• Certifications must be active and in hand, no pending certifications accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit, including monitoring and managing telemetry patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required
• Up to 2 attempts allowed to pass required orientation assessments
• Background check hits are reviewed, but open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem employees cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• All requested time off must be discussed during the interview process
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
