Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step-down RN with telemetry experience for a hospital-based position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Step-down/HVTI unit of a hospital
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) rotating schedule
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet hospital operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical/religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for cardiac/telemetry step-down patients
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers are not required for this position
