Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital setting requiring an Ohio or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Possibility of caring for patients on ventilators
• Day/Night rotating shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00pm-7:30am or 7:00am-7:30pm
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for, from an assignment within the past 12 months
• No pending certifications accepted; must be active at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score required
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Background check hits are reviewed, but candidates with open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers not specified as eligible for this role
