Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital position requiring 1 year of specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
• 18-week assignment providing winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required and active at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with a passing score

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit with potential cross-unit float assignments
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Permanent employees cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
