Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift Float Pool position requiring MA licensure and independent ECG strip interpretation.

Details

• Float Pool RN role within a hospital setting
• Medical-Surgical unit with telemetry patients
• No dedicated tele techs; RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week over an 8-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, must be in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg with telemetry experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a one-attempt pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test (20 questions) and Medication test (20 questions) with an 85% minimum score prior to acceptance, administered via Zoom during onboarding
• Required vaccinations: COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Independently monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips for assigned patients
• Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care with a telemetry patient population
• Candidates should prepare for the pass/fail testing using the study guide provided prior to acceptance, as there is no opportunity for remediation or re-testing
• Maximum of 3 days RTO accepted for this assignment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must complete a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
