Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool position requiring MA RN licensure and 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

  • Float Pool RN unit within a hospital setting
  • Medical-Surgical Telemetry patient population
  • No dedicated tele techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required
  • 8-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass Dysrhythmia (ECG/Tele) and Medication competency tests during onboarding with one attempt only and an 85% passing score
  • Copy of flu vaccination documentation required during flu season

Additional Information

  • Responsible for reading and interpreting own telemetry strips without support from dedicated tele techs
  • Testing for ECG/Tele and Medications is administered via Zoom within 48 hours of confirmation with no opportunity for remediation or re-sit
  • Required vaccines include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
  • Maximum of 3 days RTO accepted for this assignment
  • Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates are not accepted for this position
  • Previous BILH employees (Travel, Perm, or Per Diem) must complete a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
  • Travelers do not need a separation period from BILH to submit to this open order
