Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Macon, GA

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Tele RN role. This position involves caring for patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including cardiac and post-surgical cases, in an inpatient setting.

  • Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
  • Assignment Length: Not specified
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
  • Unit consists of Med Surg with 20-36 beds per unit
  • RN to patient ratio: 1:4-6

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients with acute or chronic diseases
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Manage post-catheterization care and TR bands
  • Administer drips including insulin, heparin, Cardizem, and others
  • Perform trach care, chest tube management, and IV maintenance
  • Coordinate care and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
  • Skills in telemetry and patient education
  • Experience with EPIC charting system
  • Proficiency in using Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication systems

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing
