Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent acute medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Telemetry nurse experience strongly preferred
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time in a busy acute care setting
• Experience with neuro, neurosurgery, ortho, CVA, TIA, or AMS patients preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and complete standard nursing procedures
• Perform IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Assist with continuous bladder irrigation and NGT insertion/maintenance as needed
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Deliver patient-centered care in a team-focused healthcare environment
