• Work Environment: 8 inpatient beds plus 8 admission unit beds, with flexible census support as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent acute medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time in a telemetry or med-surg setting
• Telemetry RN or medical-surgical background preferred
• Ortho or neuro-surgery experience is a plus
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Positive, patient-centered attitude and commitment to quality patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult telemetry and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes in status, and respond appropriately
• Administer medications and complete standard nursing interventions
• Perform IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the care team to support safe patient outcomes
• Float to med-surg units as needed based on patient census and staffing needs
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as assigned
