Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting requiring Epic charting experience and IL RN licensure.

Details

• Inpatient Overflow Med/Surg unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7:00AM-7:30PM, 3 days per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR charting experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, care planning, and patient education for a Med/Surg patient population
• Receive bedside shift report and delegate patient care tasks to healthcare care technicians
• Maintain patient safety standards including fall precautions, isolation precautions, and hourly rounding
• Support timely admission, discharge, and testing processes for Observation status patients
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a required 6-month break in service
