Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty unit
• Cares for adult medical/surgical patients, including some behavioral health admits
• Private rooms with attached bathrooms and mobility aids for safe patient transfers
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Uses Epic EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell equipment
• 12-hour Day/Night rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Schedule rotation varies by cycle, alternating between day and night blocks based on unit needs
• Float requirement to any Med/Surg unit across Fargo campuses

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Applies age and population-specific nursing standards within the assigned clinical setting
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue
• Candidates currently on their first travel assignment will not be considered
• Holiday coverage required as part of the every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
• Local candidates accepted, though bill rate is reduced for those living within 80 miles of the facility
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Previous Sanford Health employees must disclose prior employment and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
