Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN - Med/Surg for a night shift ENT unit position requiring GA or compact RN license and surgical nursing skills.

Details

• Work in an ENT unit caring for General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Head/Neck Surgery patients
• Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience required
• Skilled surgical nursing background required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled surgical nursing care to patients undergoing general, bariatric, and head/neck surgery
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position at a time
